Ching dynasty experienced the process from political dispersion to centralization. During the initial stage of Ching''''s ruling, the issue of emperor heirship caused an element of political chaos to Ching government. In order to achieve the long-term peace for Ching dynasty, Emperor Yung-Jeng (His ruling period was the high peak of centralization.) established a secret emperor heir selected system. The most unique features, which differed from those in other Chinese dynasties, were the uncertainty of emperor heirs selected and emperors'''' absolute power to choose their heirs. In other words, Ching emperors would pick up their heirs according to the ruling ability of the princes. However, Ching emperors could change their decisions by the alternation of subjective and objective environmental situations. Again, Ching dynasty set up a formation education, which was extremely strict and surpassing in both width and depth for all princes. By this education, all the qualified princes for heir enriched themselves in ruling ability and could get more chance to succeed the crown. Thus, the crown prince having the excellent ability to rule the country solved the problem of political estate and the issue of emperor heirship. Ching dynasty, therefore, had the qualified emperors and brilliant achievements in Chinese history. Hung-ting Ku 古鴻廷 1999 學位論文 ; thesis 167 zh-TW
