| Summary: | 碩士 === 大同工學院 === 事業經營研究所 === 87 === With the globalization of market and unification of standards around the world, ISO-9000 has already become the common language in the business world. This results in more and more competing pressure on business circles. Therefore, business enterprises are doing the utmost to deploy new management methods or breakthroughs so as to promote competitive advantage. Many researches have shown that ISO-9000 can set the consumer’s mind at rest. As many customers ask suppliers to acquire certification, a few companies take the “following the formula” attitude in order to get certification. However, will companies acquire expected advantages after obtaining ISO-9000 certification? Will they continue to practice the requirement after certification? These concerns motivate this study.
From literature review and interviewing experts, this study deduced to motives why enterprises want to obtain ISO-9000, 16 internal benefits and 12 external benefits after carrying out ISO-9000 certification, and the elements as will as methods of implementing the ISO-9000 system. A framework is based on the above in the hope of understanding the relationships between the method of putting into effect ISO-9000 and expected benefit. Subjects of this study are all firms passing the certification of ISO-9000 examined by the BCIQ in Taiwan. The method of data analysis applied in this study is single path analysis. The research results show that the implemented methods after ISO-9000 certification clarify, have a significant positive effect on performance. It indicates that all of the implementation practices, although they may have a significant impact on different performance indicators for different industries, have a significant impact on internal and external performance, i.e. the same practice may enhance the performance of different industries to different degrees. However, it is indicated that they all have a significantly positive effect on internal and external benefits. Finally, this study tries to formulate the strategies that the firms should take after obtaining ISO-9000 certification.
