Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 財務金融研究所 === 88 === Banks that conduct initial public offering or seasoned equity offering compet for funds with companies in other industries. They have to turn their attention to ways that can increase their performance and stockholders'' wealth. Centura Bank, the first U.S. bank to adopt EVA, is one of the successful cases to implement EVA, a value-based management system. This study tests whether EVA is more highly associated with bank stock returns and bank values than accounting-based measures. The results support claims that accounting-based measures generally outperform EVA, especially net income and earnings per share.
