Description
Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 管理學研究所 === 88 === Abstract Among the hospital staff, nursing personnel makes up 40~60%, which has the largest number in the health team; nurses are also the health professionals that get along with patients longest and most directly. Therefore, the quality of nursing directly influences the image of the whole hospital, even the operation and development of the hospital. Meanwhile, the high resignation rate of nursing personnel is found an important issue faced by the managers of hospitals. Hence, these years many scholars, specialists and health authorities begin to emphasize on this problem, trying to probe into it and figure out some alternatives. One of the chief aims of this study is to have a view of the reasons why nursing people leaves their jobs; the other is to try to find out the factors contributing to their resignation, in order to provide some information for those who want to improve this phenomenon. The study is a questionnaire study and uses SPSS 8.0 to compute statistics. To agree with the goals of the study and to verify the hypotheses of the related research, the study applies descriptive statistics, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient analysis, regression, etc. to analyze and compare the data. The thesis provides strategies as follows due to the conclusion of the study: 1. Manage by participation. 2. Plan a clear framework of the jobs. 3. Carry out job rotation and a well job system 4. Form a nice working ambiance and environment. 5. Further the development of education and training 6. Choose in leading styles 7. Note the ways of promotion 8. Raise the reputation of the hospital Nursing is the combination of intelligence, kindness and patience, the importance of which directly influence the quality of the hospital service. Thus we may well say the nursing personnel is the plinth of the health team. However, from a lot of literature and related studies, we realize that the nursing field nowadays─no matter domestic or abroad─is having higher and higher resignation rates due to the lack of nurses. This is quite worrisome. We hope that while these factors and alternatives are widely known, the nursing personnel can be inspired, the quality of nursing raised, and the future of the nursing field better.
