Meanwhile, what kind of impact does Internet wave bring to interior design business, and how does interior design adjust its pattern and build up the view? Based on the aforesaid background, this study intends to use the following three points as its study objectives. Firstly, it will deal with interior design business vs. application status and requirement of Internet. Secondly, via the current status, requirement survey and analysis of related Internet addresses of interior design companies, it will deal with the point of views of business owners to the future Internet application. Thirdly, based on the data analysis and finding, it will build up the Internet application view for interior design business. This study is divided into two parts to be surveyed and analyzed, i.e. "related Internet to interior design companies" and "global information Internet website of interior design". The first part will deal with interior design companies, including Intranet, Extranet and Internet. The study found that the larger sizes of interior design companies are, the business items of Intranet applied are more. In regard to Extranet application, interior design companies proceed with data transmission with business related units via E-mail. However, if using Extranet as the media of design communication, the ability of communication tools to treat different specification data should be considered. On the other side, interior design companies can use modems to search the required Internet resources from WWW such as checking manpower resources, related regulations and subcontractors data. As for the survey analysis of "global information Internet website of interior design", it proceeds with contents analysis of related Internet addresses domestically and internationally, including interior design companies, business unions, magazines companies and related businesses build up in WWW. Based on the business items stipulated on the homepages, this study divided them into core-type Internet websites (such as labor union, Professional Information Portal and Enterprise Information Portal of large design companies), advertisement-type Internet websites (such as Internet website of minor design companies) and database-type Internet websites (such as Internet website of magazines companies). Knowing from the study survey, the Professional Information Portal among core-type Internet websites can bring new business opportunities to the Internet application of interior design, and these business opportunities are independent from the business of interior design companies. According to the study survey and analysis of the aforesaid two parts, confronting the globalize trend of Internet, the Internet business of interior design business can lead to tendering & contracting, video conference application and interactive cooperation design. This study also deals with the possibilities of paperless office and manless office of interior design business under the Internet wave. Based on the aforesaid discussion, this study builds up Internet design business vs. "owners usage pattern", "designers'' usage pattern" and "contractors'' and technical consultants'' usage pattern" of Internet application. When the fundamental equipment of Internet becomes more complete, the possibility of using Internet as work platform and interactive work is higher. Therefore, the business owners, government and scholars should reinforce the application knowledge and capabilities of Internet to greet the big era coming of Internet.
