The dye-contaminated wastewater usually has pretty high COD and high true color (AMDI) value. Wastewater containing dye-stuffs can be treated by a variety of methods, including biological process. However, using biological treatment is difficult to remove disperse dye in textile wastewater. Find a useful method to treat textile wastewater is very important. Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) is gaining widespread acceptance as the method of choice for the preparation of a wide range of environmental samples for organic extraction. Advantages of such a sample preparation method using supercritical fluid carbon dioxide (SF-CO2), including a non-hazardous solvent, low waste production, rapid extraction and, in some cases, enhanced sample recoveries. Therefore, it is reasonable to consider making use of SF-CO2 to extract organic substances from wastewater containing disperse dyes. This study was conducted to investigate the extraction efficiency to remove disperse dyes from aqueous solution by using SFE. Five disperse dyes were chosen for this study. The dye-simulated water sample 150 mL was placed in a 200 mL stainless steel liquid extractor and the extraction was performed by static and dynamic way. The experiment results indicated that the apparent/true color could be removed under the elevated extraction temperature and pressure. The technique of SFE of disperse dyes from water has provided alternative water purification strategy. 喻家駿 2000 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW
