We applied stepwise regression to search the variables of design of printing patterns before production. The regression model of poisonous surplus solvent is Y=-19.73+38.27X2 (materials)+98.58X5 (the proportion of ink trap of single color area ),and it is to be conformed with fundamental supposition by analysis of residual. After established the regression model, it is to be identified the effect by identification experiment. The regression model can predict quantity of poisonous surplus solvent very well, due to the Theil Inequality Coefficient u=0.042.
