Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 化學工程學系 === 88 === Thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) elastomer prepared by the method of dynamic vulcanization, using organic peroxides as the crosslinking agent has stronger -C-C- bonding than the traditio-nally sulfur-vulcanized -C-SX-C- bonding. The prepared products exhibit better and more stable physical properties and as the result , better heat resistance, also superior in anti-aging. In the crosslinking process between EPDM and PP , follow different characteristic of free radical result different crosslinking rate , degree of crosslinking and TPVs propertys . Six selected types of organic peroxides were used to make the TPVs samples. A comparison of physical properties of these samples in relation to the characteristic chemical structures of free radicals from each organic peroxide was made. Preliminary conclusions are: (1) Having resonance structure within the free radical, the TPVs exhibit better characteristic. (2) The free radical having aromatic constituents, gives better TPVs property . (3) The more available free radicals the organic peroxides has, the TPVs property is better .(4) The structure of free radical arrange more regularization and linearity , TPVs property is better .
