The model is assumed that concrete is a composite material which combined mortar and aggregate to simulate the situation of aggregate and the distribution of stress. From the numerical results, the relationship among the modulus of elasticity of concrete (Ec) , the modulus of elasticity of aggregate (Ea), the modulus of elasticity of mortar (Em) and aggregate content (Va) can be built up. In order to find the relations, the prediction formula of elasticity modulus of aggregate was evaluated by regression method. Moreover, base on the experiments with normal aggregate and lightweight aggregate to prove the prediction formula of elasticity modulus of aggregate is applicable. The prediction model is established with a circular aggregate in a cylindrical concrete. According to the results of numerical analysis, the prediction formula of elasticity modulus of aggregate was evaluated as followed: Ea=6.4 Ec-5.1Em-9.1VaEc+8.8VaEm Furthermore, the results show that the reliability of prediction formula of elasticity modules is acceptable in both of normal and lightweight aggregates.
