The communications products are not just the simple communication tools. To consumers, the various functions of communications products are necessary but couldn’t aroused the act of consuming anymore. Only the outside form of the products couldn’t bring the obviously different senses to consumers and the very senses lead the act of consuming. The subject of this research is the cellular phone in circulation. To focus on the outside form of cell phones, we will research into what the consumer’s partiality for the cell phone’s outside form is and analyze their feeling of images of the cell phone’s outside form. By figuring out the partiality for the images of forms and putting out the rules, we offer the rules of design as the designers are designing cell phones. The direction of this research: The Premise: at first, we focus on a specific object and through investigations, research into the feeling of images of the cellular phone’s outside form which the consumers are partial to. The Method: using Quantification Ⅰand Multiple Regression to analyze the object’s inside images of cellular phones and form rules which the object’s images present. The Purpose: to establish the rules —the result of object’s images analysis, then prove it to forms and images and offer designer a calculation as they are in designing. On the research, we use Kansei Engineering switching the consumer’s stable sensitivity feeling into quantification and inferring the form elements compared with 20 pairs of form vocabularies form the analytic result of Quantification Ⅰand Multiple Regressions. By the may, we can establish the rules of cell phone designing and use the rules to research the relationship between feeling and image by this definite method on the product designing. What the research purpose is: solving the difficult in design process—human perception is hard to control, then help designer to design the products conform to the consumer’s feeling in efficient methods and looking forward to reach the purpose-mastering the consumer’s feeling of product form.
