The influence of various nucleating agents on the crystallization parameters of syndiotactic polystyrene is reported. Non-isothermal and isothermal crystallization is investigated by differential sacnning calorimetry (DSC). It has been stated that the addition of a nucleating agent affects the crystallization rate, dimension and homogeneity of spherulitic sizes. The crystallization temperature Tc, induction time ti, the crystallization half-time t1/2, the crystallization rate constant K, and the Avrami coefficient n were measured and related to the different characteristics of the specimens. The morphology induced by the different nucleating agents by hot stage polarizing microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and wide-angle X-ray diffraction analysis. Syndiotactic polystyrene containing talc series is converted into pure or nearly pureβ(β'') modification in the isothermal and non-isothermal crystallization experiments. 郭人鳳 2000 學位論文 ; thesis 76 zh-TW
