In order to reduce a large amount of time to compute thermo elastro-plastic problem, we utilize a simplified model to relate heating effect into the equivalent shrinkage force and bending moment, then take finite element method (FEM) to solve the deflection of plate. There are two parameters of the model needed to be identified, we adopt genetic algorithms (GAs) to search the optimal parameters on the basis of experiment’s result. For seeking the parameters, we construct and combine finite element program and GAs program, then use numerical simulation to test the robust of GAs and induce the application range of GAs subject to thermo elasti-plastic model. We conclude that it exists 29% error compared with experiment’s result. GAs is a time-consuming optimization tool.
