Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 機械工程學系 === 88 === The mechanical behavior of front side door beam under static compression is analysis by using the finite element method. Linear elastic and finite deformation are assumed in the analysis. The relations between the indentation displacement and the reaction force at the contact area are used to evaluate the mechanical performance of the door beam. The factors considered in this paper are the cross sectional area, bending rigidity (EI) and the position of the beam. If the door is installed by using the beam of same weight and higher bending rigidity, the deformation of the inside surface can be reduced. The goal to protect the passenger can be expected. In this point of view, I-shape or ㄇ-shape is a good choice. However, the stresses at the hinge and latch of door will increase. In weight-save design, I-shape, ㄇ-shape and ring-shape of same EI give the same results. As to the position of the beam, it is shown that horizontal installation is the best design if only one beam is used. If two or more beams are considered, slant installation gives best result.
