This thesis, at first, is trying to historically trace the definition and characters of ecology. Furthermore, it is trying to explore the ecological consciousness after the explosion of ecological crisis that later forms the ecological world view. Secondly, it will discuss important concepts in ecology, such as man and nature, sustainable development and time and space. At last, it is going to elaborate the significance of ecology on the comparative education research. There are five chapters in total. Chapter one indicates the research motives, ends, methods and scope of this thesis. According to research end, Chapter two explains that ecology includes some basic concepts from it as a science discipline, ecological consciousness after the explosion of ecological crisis and the ecological worldview. Chapter three points out that ecology is to harmonize man and nature, to create sustainable development and to utilize time and space as basic taxonomy framework. In the Chapter four, the significance of ecology in comparative education research is not only can help clarify the relationship between man and nature in comparative education research, consider the sustainable development of comparative education research in the future, but also can utilize time and space as basic taxonomy framework in comparative education research. Finally, this thesis concludes the research in Chapter five, and proposes three suggestions for advance research in the future which are as follows: 1.To harmonize man and nature in comparative education research. 2.To create sustainable development in comparative education research. 3.To utilize time and space as basic taxonomy framework in comparative education research.
