The simplification of business transactions reduced operations costs and thus increased competitiveness. Corporations throughout the world have to accelerate the rate of adopting information and networking technology. Application Service Provides emerged to deliver, via the internet, application softwares to corporations. This thesis conducted literatures review of relevant ASP information from domestic and foreign journals and web sites. Main subjects include: the characteristics of service oriented business on internet, the success factors of information processing outsourcing, the current status of domestic and foreign ASP companies,and the impacts of SI, ISV, and ISP on ASP. After interviewed several ASP vendors, the author recommended operational strategies for ASP companies.
