Summary:博士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育學系 === 88 === The purpose of this study was to explore the performance of learning Chinese keyboarding skills using adaptive learning system. The samples consisted of 180 students of the Supplementary Senior Commercial School affiliated to National Taichung Institute of Technology. The experimental design of this study was quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design. The instruments used for pretest included personal information form, multi-factor aptitude test, Chinese keyboarding attitude scale, computer attitude scale, Chinese and English keyboarding achievement testing. During the experimental period, regarded class as the unit and random grouped, experiment group adopted adaptive learning and control group adopted programming teaching. Posttest included Chinese keyboarding attitude scale and Chinese keyboarding achievement test. The main statistic procedures employed for analyzing experimental data and testing the research hypotheses were MANCOVA, canonical correlation , stepwise multiple regression and paired-t test etc. According to the results of literature review, panel discussion, experimental teaching and data analysis. The main findings of this study can be described briefly as follows: 1.The model of Chinese keyboarding adaptive learning should adopt two-parameter logistic model of item response theory. One should develop item parameters examination program, use ASCAL or others to estimate item parameters and sum up all item parameters to create an item bank. 2.Those students who had high verbal reasoning and spelling ability did have signigicantly higher performance in Chinese keyboarding skill learning. 3.Those students who had high computer attitude, computer confidence, computer anxiety and computer usefulness did have significantly higher performance in Chinese keyboarding achievement. Who had high computer attitude, computer confidence and computer usefulness did have significantly higher performance in Chinese keyboarding attitude. 4.The aptitude and computer attitude did have significant correlate with the performance of learning Chinese keyboarding skill. 5.The pretest of Chinese keyboarding achievement, computer attitude, English keyboarding achievement, gender, learning strategy and the interaction betwwn spelling ability and computer attitude, all these 6 variables can explain and forecasting 50.9% of the variance of the Chinese keyboarding learning achievement. The pretest of Chinese keyboarding achievement and Chinese keyboarding attitude, computer attitude, learning strategy, and the interaction between space ability and computer attitude, all these 5 variables can explain and forecasting 43.0% of the variance of the Chinese keyboarding attitude. 6.Adaptive learning is better than programming teaching for the performance of learning Chinese keyboarding skill. According to the conclusions of this study, the following recommendations are porposed for Chinese keyboarding adaptive learning and further study. 1.One should consider develop adaptive CAL software for other Chinese keyboarding methods, and should adopt two-parameter logistic model of item response theory. 2.Extension schools'' computer software and hardware, so poor student can have equal opportunity to learn. 3.Pay attention to cultivate learners'' positive and aggressive computer attitude. 4.The follow up study should emphasize the method of qualitative research, explore other influence factors, investigate different recognition and mistake behavior of Chinese word decoding, how to arrangement and design of Chinese character in keyboard and compare the learning performance for learning different Chinese keyboarding method.
