碩士 === 國防管理學院 === 國防決策科學研究所 === 88 === The rational choice is very broad, it applies to economics, management, organization behavior, cognitive psychology, behavioral science, political science, game theory , even to artificial intelligence, etc. It is also used in reality, also used in daily live, as well as to how government processes the whole nation. For example; voting policy, pubic affair, benefit policy, and any decision related to how government processes the nation. So it''''s important for public to realize this theory. The rational choice theory is normative, it sets as a guide for us to make correct decision. Correct decision must be compatible to rational decision. It should apply to different situations, opponent, strategy, different decision makings, also what all should consistent, valid hypothesis, hold its morality and equality, fairly as well as tracking facts problems, to advance its quality in decision making,. This paper explains the rational theory to discover what influences choices, and to analyze its structures. This also sets an example for the analyst to see its steps of the rational choice theory.
