Besides understanding the history and hits of them, it discusses the stylistics as its main frame on the linguistic study. It will analyze the usage of rhyme, assonance, consonance, alliteration, and binary rhyme in detail. These produce aesthetic effect of modulation. Word formation characters, the changed usage of pronouns, original meanings of lexicon, jargons, and discourse analysis are explored so as to reveal the stylistics of the terms in the Taiwanese popular songs. Of course, the stanzas are analyzed through the arrangement of the syntax and rhetoric that make the language itself more vivid. Further more, from the semantics of the songs and the important events in Taiwan history, it observes them bear the sadness, migration, and thalassic civilizations of the Taiwanese. The usage of the written characters for Taiwanese is complex in the beginning. As to the written words for the songs, in spite of traditional characters inherited from Chinese, they are still in chaos almost everywhere. To formulate them needs to be traditional and creative. Beyond showing the truth, the assay also provides a lot of advices for the written character system. Furthermore, it tries to put Taiwanese on the study of music level. Music can glorify Taiwanese into the field of art. On the contrary, incorrect music notes can obstruct the original communication function of the language. Taiwanese itself is full of tone melody and close to music in naive. If we put attention to tones, rhythm, and melody of Taiwanese, and put the beauty of music and the beauty of language side by side, the popular songs of Taiwan Southern Min can be placed in the rank of delicate culture of honors in the end.
