Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 電腦與通訊工程系 === 88 === Design of the Multicasting Protocols in WDM Networks with Multiwavelength Selectivity The tuning time of an acousto-optic tunable filter is microsecond degree above, and it will lead to delay and throughput penalties in high speed WDM networks. We use the multi-wavelength selectivity of acousto-optic tunable filter in single-hop WDM star networks, and design “multiwavelength selectivity scheduling algorithm” (MWSS algorithm) for multicasting traffic and to improve the network performance. Our numerical results show that (1) multi-wavelength selectivity can reduce scheduling length 21% ~ 50%. (2)when the ratio of maximum traffic and the tunning time of acousto-optic tunable filter is small, the performance of MWSS is better. (3)MWSS using in multicasting is more efficient than in unicasting.
