碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 工業科技教育學系 === 88 === The research which main variables are different kinds of media and the sex of objects tries to investigate if there are some effects on junior high school student’s image when the words appear on the text or on the computer monitor and if there are some differences between male students’ image or female students’ image on the same media. The research tool is Image Ruler of Visual Media made by the author, and the research samples are from ninety-one the second grades students of The Affiliated Senior High School of National Kaohsiung Normal University. The research finally found out the research samples would have different reading image to different media, and different students of sex would have different image to the same media. Combined all the researches and discoveries, researcher suggests that it would be better to use text on textbook and teaching media, and the advertisement designers should put the feeling given by the words appearing on the media into consideration while choosing visual media. The later researcher about the topic still can continue research the effects on the visual media image towards the means of the normal visual media, the effects on the reading effects towards different visual images and so on. Furthermore, according to the research, we can investigate from variance of ages to see if ages and life background would cause some effects toward visual media image.
