This study also explored into how the computerized pre-press workers who have different background attributes behave differently with respect to job satisfaction. Questionnaire method was used in this research. At first, a completely literature review was taken, together with the research’s experience in present situation of pre-press workers, to establish the research framework. Then a self-designed questionnaire, developed by the researcher and reviewed by experts, was employed as a research instrument. 153 computerized pre-press workers in Taipei area serve as samples. Finally, statistical analysis was applied to analyze data collected in this study. Also, the written contents of the open ended questions were analyzed, and some directors in the pre-press department were interviewed to find out the present situation of computerized pre-press workers. The results of this study were as follows: 1. There was significant difference in every aspect of the job satisfaction. The computerized pre-press workers were most unsatisfied with their salaries and benefits. 2. Sex and marriage did not influence the computerized pre-press workers job satisfaction. 3. Age and seniority presented the U shape in relation to the job satisfaction. 4. The high education background, the low satisfied the computerized pre-press workers. 5. The high salary, the bigger company size, the more satisfied the computerized pre-press workers. 6. The analyzed of the open-ended questions shows that the computerized pre-press workers were most satisfied with “job nature is simple but matching interest”. On the other hand, they were least satisfied with “heavy work duties, and great pressure”. This research also made suggestions for the management of the computerized pre-press workers such as “assign work evenly and duties should be clearly defined”, “increase salaries and carry out all kinds of benefits”.
