Summary: | 碩士 === 國立海洋大學 === 河海工程學系 === 88 === Epoxy-coated rebar is an efficient and economic corrosion prevention method but suffers from the bond degradation effect. It is important for engineers to develop a coating method to prevent bond degradation and preserve the ability of corrosion prevention.
In this study, the bond behavior for various coating techniques is investigated and the ability of corrosion prevention is also examined .Two new coating techniques, admixture-epoxy coating and sandwich type epoxy coating, are developed. Three parameters including admixture/epoxy weight percentage, size of admixture and various admixtures are found to influence the bond efficiency. Single-rebar pullout tests are performed to evaluate the bond behavior, and Stang’s theorem are used to find the four parameters describing the interface properties.
Experiment results show that the bond strength of sandwich type epoxy coating specimen increases as the sand/epoxy weight percentage increases. Further, both admixture-epoxy coating and sandwich type epoxy coating techniques improve the bond strength. Also, the shear stiffness/length(K), critical shear stress/length(q) and surface energy (G) all increase as the sand/epoxy weight percentage increases. All coating methods show good efficiency on corrosion prevention.
