Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 土木工程學研究所 === 88 === The results of an experimental research program involving cyclic testing of the full-scale structural connections is presented, in which the columns and the beams are square CFTs and WF steel members, respectively. The objective of this research is to examine the effect of in-filled concrete and column width/thickness ratio, on the simple connection’s strength, stiffness, and ductility. Results from tests show that specimens with in-filled concrete possess higher strength as the column thickness increases, but not the stiffness when the width/thickness ratio is as small as 33. However, the connections must be properly detailed and redesigned to avoid stress concentrations which may lead to fracture. However the proposed confined concrete model can properly reflect the effect of axial stress to the shear strength of concrete in CFT connection.
