In this method, the problems related to the non-linearity of large amplitude motions and wave pressure acting near the load water line will be taken into account. Furthermore, base on this result the short-term statistics and long-term prediction of the ship motions and nonlinear wave pressure can be treated. In the 3nd year , model tests for ship motions and wave pressure acting on a full ship (noted as VLCC26) running in regular and irregular waves were conducted do confirm the effectiveness of the Third-order Volterra Modeling for nonlinear wave pressure acting near freesurface.
