How to manage inventory right time, right place, right quality and eliminate surplus inventory will be an important subject of supply chain. Chapter 2 collected some articles due to when products through life circle, between supply and demand, four rational factors create a phenomenon that is often called “bullwhip effect”. The four factors are demand signal processing, rationing game, order batching and manufacturer price variations. Chapter 3 focused on the interactive of total cost factors of order batching, carrying cost, setup cost and shortage cost and extended the discussion to model a ( ) inventory system via cost factors and probability in order to balance shortage risk and surplus inventory risk and try to determine optimum multiechelon service levels under the lowest relational costs. Chapter 4 extended ( ) system and further considered safety stock carrying cost and shortage cost in order to achieve the lowest total cost and determine optimum multiechelon service levels with the lowest relational costs.
