However , the priority of economic consideration caused the crowd , pollution and high temperature of urban , and made the environment got worse in the past . In view of that , it is important to realize what natural elements could benefit us . The main purpose of this research is to study the green effect of urban and building environment . Green issues of environment would be divided into two parts , one is green on the plane and the other is green on the vertical . The study of green on the plane focuses on the relation between buildings and plants . The sudy of green on the vertical , we studied effects of vine climbing on the outside wall of building , and the study topics contained surface temperature , heat flow and U-value etc . We used thermo-viewer , climatical data logger , thermo-couple and heat flow meter to observe and record the condition of environment . As an analysis tool , we also used basic statistics , correlation analysis and multiple regression to analyze data . Owing to the analysis of surface temperature , climate and heat flow , the results show that plants obviously can cool down and moderate surface temperature on both single and complex buildings . In observation of climbing vine surface heat transfer , we can find the effects of low heat flow and U-value . Take high density of the climbing vine from solar side as example , the U-value is 4.48 (w/m2.K)which is equal to 0.22 as thermo resistance . As heat insulation effects , it is near to 1B brick wall . Therefore , it is reasonable to conclude that to keep and to increase green plants can really benefit the environment of urban and buildings . Cheng Cheng Li 鄭政利 2000 學位論文 ; thesis 90 zh-TW
