Analysis was also conducted to measure the residual stress on similar welded materials (5083 aluminum) using the GMAW and GTAW. Next, we analyzed the effect on two dissimilar materials using the same two process of welding. All procedures in welding were done in accordance with the ASTM E837-96. On the other hand, finite element method was used in simulated the plate thermal transfer condition where both transient and non-linear was focus in the modeling process of simulation. A comparison of the test results proved the experiment to be correct. The experimental studies of 7005 aluminum firstly helped us realize the residual stress distribution of box shape in the welding process.
