Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 88 === The punching shear strengths of reinforced concrete slabs subject to eccentric column loads are currently based on the provisions of Sections 11.12.6 of ACI 318-95. However, the provisions of Section 11.12 in ACI Building Code are primarily based on test results of low-strength concrete slabs. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the applicability of current ACI Code when applied to high-strength concrete slabs subject to eccentric column loads. In this study, twenty-four specimens were tested under eccentric column loads. Variables included were the concrete strength, the reinforcement ratio,bo/d and the eccentricity of column load. Test results indicate that for both low-strength and high-strength concrete slabs subject to eccentric column loads, the punching shear strengths calculated using the provisions of ACI Code are quite conservative. For the cases of uniaxial moment transferring from columns to slabs, the provisions of BS 8110 can more accurately predict the punching shear strengths of slabs. However, for the cases of biaxial moment transferring from columns to slabs, the punching shear strengths calculated using the provisions of BS 8110 are not conservative. Based on test results in this study and results presented in previous studies, an equation which can more reasonably predict the punching shear strengths of reinforced concrete slabs subject to eccentric column loads is proposed.
