Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 88 === The most important component of an Intelligent Computer Assisted Instruction (ICAI) is the student model. Many studies have devoted to integrate uncertainty management techniques into the student model. Among them, the most prevalent are Bayesian networks, neural networks, Dempster-Shafer theory and fuzzy logic. However, these methods have difficulties and complexities in computation and revision. In this paper, we use a simple model based on belief vector to build the student model. The proposed model can record student’s ability, knowledge acquisition and retention. Based on this information, the system can recognize student’s knowledge levels and provide adequate instructions and helps. To show the effectiveness of the proposed model, a multimedia ICAI teaching the electronic magnetism unit of junior high school is developed and tested on 60 nine-grade students. The results show that the application of this student model on the ICAI has significant learning effects and can improve student’s learning attitude.
