Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 機械工程學系 === 88 === This research redesigns a Chinese Braille display. The process includes reviewing the functions of the old design, examining shortcomings in operations, finally proposing a new design to reach perfect in operating. The concept of Concurrent Engineering was applied to the whole process in design, manufacturing and analysis including product styling design, mechanism design, mechanics analysis, parts assembly, mold design, mold flow analysis and mold manufacturing. The main software used was Pro/Engineer. Mold flow analysis was conducted by Moldex. In aids of transparent way of computerized simulation in solid models, the researchers are able to control the design, analysis and manufacturing process thoroughly. The benefits are short lead-time in product design and less time in try and error. This research improved that the redesigned Chinese Braille display is optimized in mechanism and mold.
