description 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 勞工研究所 === 89 === ABSTRACT The study focuses on the influences on the turnover of employees in the companies in Tainan area. The study targets businesses with more than 50 employees in both Tainan City and Tainan County. All together 225 questionnaires were collected with a retrieving percentage at 27.6%. According to the survey, we have found: 1. The relationship between employee turnover and operational strategies, organizational structure, human resource management system, and operation effect No significant difference was observed in the employee turnover with different operational strategies and organizational structures. However, different human resource management systems result in significant differences that can be observed in the employment rate of professional / technical staff, resignation rate of clerks and administrative staff, employment and resignation rates of basic level workers, and the overall employment rate in these companies. In the year 2000, there is a high relativity between companies with higher growth of gross income and the employment rates of professional / technical staff, clerks and administrative staff, basic level workers and overall company employment. We predict that there will not be any significant relativity in 2001 between the growth of company gross income and the employee turnover. In 2000, we observed significant relativity between employment and resignation rates of professional / technical staff in the companies with better profit-making capability; while the prediction we make toward 2001 shows no significant relativity between company profit-making capability and the employee turnover. 2. Direct effects on the moving-in of companies to Tainan Science-Based and Industrial Park If companies in Tainan area produce similar products as those of the companies in TSIP, great impacts can be observed with the resignation rate of professional / technical staff as well as in the overall employment rate. The closer to TSIP the companies are, the less significant the impact there is toward employee turnover. 3.Moderating effects for the move-in of companies to TSIP Significant impacts can be observed on the operational strategy over the professional / technical staff and the overall company resignation rates because of the moderating effects on the companies that produce similar products with TSIP companies. Same significant influence can also be observed with the turnover of clerks / administrative staff and basic level workers. No matter what operational strategies the companies in Tainan area adopt, the interaction of its similarity with TSIP companies in production has no significant impact on the turnover of management staff; the interaction of operational strategies and the geographical closeness does not have significant impact on employee turnover, either. No matter what organizational structure the companies in Tainan area adopt, the interaction of its similarity with TSIP companies in production has no significant impact on the turnover of employees; the interaction of organizational structure and the geographical closeness does not have significant impact on the turnover of basic level workers and the overall company employee turnover. No matter what organizational structure the companies in Tainan area adopt, the interaction of its geographical closeness with TSIP companies has no significant impact on the turnover of basic-level workers and overall company employee turnover. No matter what human resource management system the companies in Tainan area adopt, the interaction of its similarity with TSIP companies in production has no significant impact on the turnover of management staff, professional / technical, clerks and administrative staff; the interaction of human resource management system similarity in production with TSIP companies set significant impacts on the resignation rate of both basic level workers and the overall company resignation rate. The interaction of human resource management system and the geographical closeness has significant impact on the resignation of management staff. No matter what human resource management system the companies in Tainan area adopt, the interaction of its geographical closeness with TSIP companies has no significant impact on the employee turnover of professional / technical staff, clerks and administrative staff, basic-level workers, and overall company employee turnover. In terms of the interaction of gross income growth and the similarity in production with TSIP in the year 2000, there is no significant impact observed with the employee turnover of management staff, professional / technical staff, clerks / administrative staff, basic-level workers, nor with the overall company employee turnover. The interaction of year 2000 gross income growth and the similarity in production with TSIP has significant impact on the resignation rate of basic-level workers. We predict that in the year 2001, interaction between gross income growth and similarity in production with TSIP companies will have no significant impact on the resignation rate of professional / technical staff, basic-level workers and the overall company employee turnover, however, significant impact can be observed of the same interaction with the resignation rate of management staff, clerks and administrative staff. Interaction of gross income growth with geographical closeness in 2000 has no significant impact on the employment turnover of management staff, professional / technical staff, basic-level workers and the overall company employment turnover. However, significant impact can be observed with the interaction of gross income growth with geographical closeness on the resignation rate of clerks and administrative staff. It is predicted that the interaction between gross income growth in 2001 and the geographical closeness has no significant impact on employment turnover Interaction between profit-making capability and the similarity in product with TSIP companies in the year 2000 had no significant impact on the employment turnover of management staff, professional/technical staff, clerks and administrative staff; however, significant impact is observed with resignation rate of basic level workers and overall company resignation rate in the same interaction. We predict that in 2001, the interaction between profit-making capability and the similarities in product with TSIP companies had no significant impact on the employment rates of management staff, professional/technical staff, clerks and administrative staff, basic level workers and overall company employment rate. But significant impact can be observed in the resignation rate of all the above personnel. The profit-making capability and the geographical closeness with TSIP in both 2000 and 2001 (prediction) is insignificant with employee turnover.
