| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 89 === In this thesis, we are concerned with the measurement of initial code acquisition for cdma2000 version of the Third Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP 2), alternatively referred to as IMT-2000. For multicarrier signal combining, we studied the two conventional methods, i.e. equal-gain combining and adaptive gain combining, as well as a modified adaptive gain combining method that we proposed. This new combining method consists of dividing the gain in the conventional adaptive gain combining method by the absolute value of the difference between two successive symbols. Simulation results showed that under both white Gaussian noise channel and fading channel conditions, the new method incurs lower probability of error.
