Description
Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 89 === Abstract Polypropylene(PP) is a widely used semi-crystalline polymer. It's overall performance depends on the degree of crystallinity and the crystalline morphology developed through certain processing condition. In this study, three different nucleating agents (nucleators), named DBS , Talc and CaCO3 , were added into pseudo-calender-processed PP sheet, respectively. The effect of nucleator type as well as the amout of nucleator added on the physical properties and the crystallization of PP sheet were investigated. The tensile test results showed that the addition of DBS and Talc can improve the tensile strength of PP sheet. The wetting tension property seems to be not affected by the addition of small amount of nucleators. The crystallization rate of PP sheet were found to increase with the addition of nucleators. The efficiency of nucleators on the crystallization of PP sheet is DBS>Talc> CaCO3 . The crystalline morphology of PP sheet were revealed by polarized optical microscope (POM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM).
