Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 工業工程與管理研究所 === 89 === Abstract The main purpose of this research is to explore the influence of stress faced at work on high-tech workers’ job performance and health condition. Furthermore, the results are used to verify whether the Yerkes-Dodson Law can be applied. In this research the origin of stress and resulting body symptoms and job performance are studied, while industry statistical variables and demographic variables are included for comparison. The origins of work stress include over-loading, conflicts among different roles in job and life, vagueness in role definition, working skills and organization’s culture. The observable effects on body include psychological, physiological and behavioral symptoms. Finally, job performance is limited to the latest self-rated job performance of the interviewed persons. Industrial statistics adopted in this study are industry classification and scale. The variables in demography are sex, age, marriage status, education, income, experience and position. In this study, questionnaire survey is adopted to collect data and the subject is aimed at indirect labor working in high-tech industry, of which 35.2% is in communication, 24% in semiconductor, 26.8% in PC and related field and 14% is in precision mechanics. Two hundred questionnaires were sent out and 155 returned, of which 142 were valid. The questionnaire contains four parts, Job Stress Questionnaire (JSQ), Company Information Table, Personal Information Table and Job Performance Scale. Cornback Alpha coefficient is used in this study to verify data reliability, perform correlation analysis on the variables. The purpose is to characterize the variables. In addition, T-test and P-value test are adopted to confirm the relationship among different factors. Multiple regression method is applied to justify that the effect of work stress on body health symptoms and job performance. The above analysis also verifies that Yerkes-Dodson Law can be applied in this case. Key Word:work stress、job performance
