Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 89 === Abstract Electric powered mass rapid transit system creates stray currents which can cause severe corrosion damage and are often existing in ductile and cast iron water piping. In determination the corrosion of corrosion conditions, voltages between the structures and the earth must be measured so that qualitative indications can be given to show areas where the current is entering and where it is being discharged. The voltages are best measured using a high resistance dc-milli- volt voltmeter and a well damped movement. Current measurements, are made by obtaining potential differences over a length of a structure. Voltage and current readings should be correlated because the potentials and currents fluctuate considerably. Several measures can be applied to control stray currents from a d-c railway system and reduce corrosion on underground structures. Prevention of stray current on an electrified-train system requires that all elements of the traction power circuit be electrically insulated from the earthed structures. This paper presents the practical experience of monitoring analysis and control measures of stray currents of Taipei mass rapid transit system. We expect this analysis will be useful for the future studies in the field of d-c railway system.
