Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 89 === Abstract The major contribution of this study is developing an efficient, easy setup and low cost volumetric error measurement methods for multi-axis machine tools and also the Stewart Platform based machine tool. The error models for the measurement methods were developed based on the implementation of the homogeneous transformation matrix. Based on the error models, both the position and orientation errors of multi-axis machines can be determined though two-stage-measurement ball-bar measurements. Both simulation and experimental verification for the measurement system were good performed. The experiment result have shown the reliability of the proposed method to practically apply the method to machines. Finally a computer-aided system with friendly interface was developed .
