This study is structured by seven dimensions: (1) characteristics of environment, (2) characteristics of enterprises, (3) perceived usefulness for EERP and ASP, (4) perceived risk for ASP, (5) perceived unease of use for ASP, (6) characteristics of ASP enterprises and (7) characteristics of product or service provided by ASP enterprises. We hope our results could aid ASP and EERP managers to understand their small and medium manufacturing customers and provide satisfactory products or services for their customers. Based on statistically analysis, the following conclusions could be made: 1.The characteristics of environment as well as the characteristics of enterprises make influence on the perceived usefulness for EERP. 2.The three dimensions including the characteristics of environment and enterprise and the perceived usefulness for EERP will affect enterprises to adopt EERP. 3.As for the enterprises not adopting EERP, their perceptions are different about the factors in each of the four dimensions including their perceived usefulness for EERP and their perceived usefulness and risk for ASP. 4.The perceived usefulness and risks for ASP play important roles whether an enterprise adopt EERP in ASP model. 5.The enterprises which have adopted EERP in ASP model or are very possible to adopt EERP in the future pay different attentions to the characteristics of ASP enterprises and their products or services.
