Those are for blind people to percept the image contours of some objects. Most of the developed blind guide systems adopt pronunciation, braille, or tactile array display subsystems to enhance the percept capability of the users. Usually, those systems can not display 3D images. For this purpose, some techniques for displaying 3D image contours are studied. Basing on the concept of sound virtual reality, this system adopts the fuzzy logic controller to control the gains and the time difference of loudspeakers to mimick and display the sound source image contours of some objects. For improving the resolution, the ad hoc methods of combining the collision detection method and tactile aided display techniques are also studied. Some rules and algorithms of the sound aided image display techniques are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of this approach and to find the possible problems for future study.
