This paper proposes a sounding ball image display system which use the hear perceptivity to substitute vision sensory to indicate the touchiness and to display the attributes of the objective. It uses sound to guide the sounding ball to touch the image contour of the displaying object. On the surface of the sounding ball, the sound sources that have intersection with the image contour of the displaying object will eject the sound to show that portion of the image contour of the displaying object. This paper shows the sounding ball system, the control circuits, the related software, and the investigation of the allocation of the sound sources on the surface of the sounding ball. This sounding ball system is designed for blind guide purpose. It is used to display 3D image contours, and has potential in display the characteristics of the displaying object.
