Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 化學工程學系 === 89 === Abstract New luminescent polymer, containing isolated emitting 2,5-distyrylthiophene and electron-transporting aromatic 1,3,4-oxadiazole chromophores, were prepared by Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons reaction. The solubility, optical and electrochemical properties of these polymers were investigated and correlated with nonlinear thiophene and 1,3,4-oxadiazole groups. Finally, single layer LED devices were fabricated and their emitting characteristics were studied. In this study, [2,5-bis-(4-fluorophenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole] and 2-[4-(2,5-dibromomethylphenoxy)phenyl]-5-benzoyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole were used as electron transport monomers, whereas 2,5-distyrylthiophene derivatives was employed as emitting monomers. Dialdehyde monomers (16,17) were first synthesized by nucleophilic displacement reaction of oxadiazole-activated bis(halide) monomers (7,14) with phenol monomers (15). Then, Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons reaction was employed to prepare polymers (P1,P2) containing 1,3,4-oxadiazole and 2,5-distyrylthiophene chromophores. TGA and DSC analyse showed that the polymers were thermally stable below 345 ℃ with Tgs higher than 110 ℃. They were green emitting materials with a band gap of 2.57~2.58 eV from absorption and emission spectra. Incorporating oxadiazole moiety lowed both the HOMO and LUMO energy levels of the polymers.
