Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 電機工程學系 === 89 === To assist those who have difficulties accessing normal switches or operating home appliances, home automation systems are usually adopted. However, lack for a control panel that is designed to be flexible and user friendly for disabilities is evident In this thesis the author brought up a sophisticated structure and implemented a Wireless Home Automation Control Panel based on the proven stable and powerful CEBUS protocol. The features are Home Appliance control, monitoring and scheduling, Chinese graphic user interface API, communication API, selectable multiple input devices and real time clock/calendar API, etc. Most of these features are easily configurable and upgradable to suit different users and home automation applications. To fully utilize the computation power of the low-cost 8-bit micro-controller embedded, the control panel incorporated an embedded real-time operating system, enhanced by clocking tricks to lower the power consumption. Due to regular calls made to system services and common API, the code size was minimized. This convertible system can be configured to support sophisticate functions and is applicable to normal households as well.
