碩士 === 國立體育學院 === 體育研究所 === 89 === A Study on Sports Facilities of Miaoli Elementary Schools ABSTRACT The main purpose of this study was to realize the situation of sports facilities of Miaoli elementary schools and to compare the differences among schools with different scales and locations. The results can be offered as references of related Units. In this research, all 114 elementary schools in Miaoli were investigated. It was made base on the self-made “ Questionnaire on Miaoli elementary schools sports fields” “Questionnaire on Miaoli elementary schools sports fields demands” The results are as followings: 1. The situations of Miaoli elementary schools: (1) Variety: There are 17 kinds 6kinds of indoor sports fiends 12 kinds of outdoor sports fiends . There is only one kind with both indoor and outdoor fields. (2) Quantity: There are 17 kinds and 312 places Synthetic ball sports field is the most. (3) Area: athletic with ball field is the biggest. (4) The majority of materials of ground of sports fields are both cement . 2. Comparisons of schools at different locations: (1)variety: Suburb schools hare 16 kinds. Middle-sized schools hare 13 kinds. Urban schools hare 16 kinds. (1) Quantity: For the average is Big schools→Middle schools→small schools. People used the field more in big schools than small schools. Big schools hare more rate of indoor and outdoor sports fields. (2) As for the area of sports fields, big schools are bigger than small schools. However , the area which every student share , small schools are bigger than big schools. (3) Field material: Cement is the most. PV is the next. 3. The situations of Miaol: elementary schools sports facilities: (1) In gymnastic facilities: Cushions, jumping boxes and balance bars are lower. (2) In track and field facilities: Starting guns high jump sets and relay sticks are items with higher qualified rates. Lot boxes wooden rulers are lower. (3) In ball games facilities: dodge balls, juvenile basketballs and basketballs sets are items with higher qualified rates. Small soccer goals and handball goals are lower. (4) In dancing facilities: VCRs and organs are items with higher qualified rate. Harmonicas and ! ! are lower. (5) In playing facilities: Slideways is the item with higher qualified rate. Vertical jumping sets and tires playing fields are lower. (6) In other facilities: Stop watches, ropes of the tug of war and air pumps are items with higher qualified tares. Sign flags and colorful ropes are lower. 4. Sports field demands of Miaoli elementary schools for all kinds of schools, “Gym” is the most necessary sports field, “Wooden ground” is the most necessary material which they want and need.
