The intelligent controller could be used in all elevator system. The approach of the designed intelligent controller is based on the model reference adaptive control. The controller includes an adaptive feedforward controller, an adaptive feedback controller and an auxiliary signal. The proposed control algorithm is presented in this thesis, does not require the exact dynamic model of the elevator system. The intelligent elevator controller automatically tunes two kinds of parameters, one belongs to the feedback control that are PID gains and the other belongs to the feedforward control that are mass, damping and friction. Furthermore, adaptive law, which is a simple algorithm, generates the control gains and the updated time is shortly.
