We have made practical use of designing the Fabry-Perot etalon to compose the optical gain equalizer .This kind of optical gain equalizer has several etalon filters with different characteristic and it precisely realizes the characteristic reverse to the optical gain equalizer . And this also a new design for gain flattening filter by using stack of filters has been described. The filter has advantages of all the layers are quarter wave.
