Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 國民教育研究所 === 89 === To explore the relations of unitizing、 area concept、 and volume concept, the author adopted semi-structured interview technique to do case study. The research subject was a sixth grader from an Elementary school. The main findings from this case are (1)the difficulty of area concept was from the lack of unitizing; and (2)the difficulty of volume concept was from the lack of area concept.
In addition, to promote the levels of unitizing concept、 area concept、 and volume concept, the author gave guided instruction with following teaching materials:visualization representation and concrete objects. Finally, the case gained improvement from those concepts.
