Summary:碩士 === 南華大學 === 亞洲太平洋研究所 === 89 === The structure of these research are base on the view of “comprehensive security” which including: (1) political and military security; (2) economic security; (3) marine, IT, and environmental security as points of discussion. From these points of views, the author try to studies how the U.S.-Japan Security Relation effected by both sides, regional influence, and international environment. Finally, the author analyzed how U.S.-Japan alliances influenced the Asia-Pacific region. In brief, U.S.-Japan security relation in the post-cold war era is different from cold war era. Although military security have to maintain, even enhance the U.S.-Japan Security cooperation to protect stableness of Asia-Pacific region and east-northeast, but based on the stability of economic, will Japan desire to obtain global or region political power in the future? Will China recently revived influence U.S.-Japan Relation? Can different view of economic, IT, environmental issue between U.S. and Japan for own national interest maintain the cooperation of both parties in the 21st century. These dynamic developments will influence the security of Taiwan, even whole east-northeast and Asia-Pacific region. It is worthy to continue note and study it.
