Based on this, this research first compares differences of teachers’personal background factors with work pressure, work value perception, organizational commitment, and career commitment. Secondly, it investigates the relationship of career commitment with each of work pressure, work value perception, and organizational commitment. Finally, it further analyzes the prediction power of teachers’personal background factors, work pressure,work value perception, and organizational commitment on teachers’ “overall career commitment”. Sample population for the research is 561 educational workers in 139 kindergartens and child-care centers in the Kaohsiung-Pingtung area. The research tool is the career commitment questionnaire for teachers in the preschool education field in the Kaohsiung-Pingtung area. After the survey is conducted,the data obtained are analyzed by computer software "SPSS for Windows 8.0”.The data are processed by statistical methods such as Multiple Analysis of Variance(MANOVA), Pearson Product-Moment Correlation, and Multiple Regression Analysis. Based on the findings sorted from the research yields the following conclusions: 1.Work pressure, work value perception, organizational commitment,and career commitment of preschool teachers in the Kaohsiung-Pingtung area display significant differences due to differences in teachers’personal background factors. 2. Work pressure and career commitment of teachers in the Kaohsiung-Pingtung area has significant negative correlation. 3. Work value perception and career commitment of teachers in the Kaohsiung-Pingtung area has significant positive correlation. 4. Organizational commitment and career commitment of teachers in the Kaohsiung-Pingtung area has significant positive correlation. 5. Teachers personal background factors, work pressure, work value perception, and organizational commitment can effectively predict teachers’career commitment. Among all predictive factors,“willingness of endeavor”has the greatest predictive power. Lastly, based on the research conclusion, recommendations are made for administrative units, educational workers’ training institutions, school organizations, preschool teachers, and future researches.
