Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立海洋大學 === 水產養殖學系 === 89 === The study focuses on the overfishing analysis of sakura shrimp fishery based on the bidding records from 1996 to 1999, and the cost information of the 43 sampled vessels in Tong-Kong. Taxonomically, the overfishing of marine harvest can be divided into two types : “Biological Overfishing” and “Economic Overfishing”. Identifying biological overfishing is simple and objective. On the contrary, identifying economic overfishing is complicated and subjective due to unforeseen human factors, involving many political and economical issues. Sakura shrimp is a much precious biological resource in Taiwan. Signs of its biological overfishing have become apparent as shown in its bidding records. In addition, its overrated economic benefits because of hiding cost have resulted in the danger of economic overfishing. This problem is also discussed in this paper. The result of this study shows that r =0.777 and K=4794 tons, with r being the net proportional rate and K being the carrying capacity. To avoid the possibility of biological overfishing, the researcher has calculated a TAC (Total allowable catch) value of Q0.8=576478.764 kg/season and keeping vessels in 41 ships. Moreover, the policy of avoiding economic and biological overfishing danger must be made to ensure a continuous development of increasing the economic benefits and to utilize biological resources of sakura shrimp availability.
