Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 企業管理學系 === 89 === Abstract The key successful factors for manufacturing industry to survive are “flexibility” and “ speed” in 21st century. In the past, the industry only needed to react the current time. Now, under the global market environment pressure, the need of customization rises, the leading time of service demand and product life cycle shorten, a industry have to pro-act the future. The competition model across the century will not be only the fight between industry and industry , it will be a decisive battle between supply chain and supply chain. The inventory has become the liability to increase firm’s cost rather than the necessary asset in the manufacturing concept of global competitive market. Because the product life cycle shorten and shorten, many inventory means losing competitive advantage. The key point of the thesis is how to optimum the cost and efficiency of supply chain inventory management. Although the general inventory management theory goes to maturity, it just emphasizes deduce of quantity method and optimum process which use the close supply chain partnership and inventory property to be assumption. The research broad the scope of traditional, one-dimension concept to bring up a supply chain inventory management matrix model, the model could be used in the industry to check and consult. The research scope of traditional, one-dimension point of view is narrower. Because it only focused on the optimum of object formula under a certain of specific limited portfolio. The thesis broad it to a 2*2 matrix model: for one thing, it is the same as traditional concept including Economic Order Quantity Model, Risk Distribution Model, Max-Min Inventory Model and Virtual Inventory Model, which are based on probing documents. In another side, try to build up the inventory management matrix to probe the corresponding relationship and strategy of four inventory management models under inventory characteristics and supply chain network portfolio. Through the case study, we can understand deeply about the real condition of four inventory management models and inventory management matrix. There are four important viewpoints of view in the thesis as following: 1.The corresponding situation factors should be considered when a industry elaborate inventory management model. 2.The application of 80/20 laws in supply chain inventory management. 3.The re-engineering view of inventory management process. 4.The application of matrix analysis in supply chain inventory management.
