Summary:碩士 === 臺東師範學院 === 教育研究所 === 89 === This study conducted a qualitative research to investigate the attributions and coping strategies that depressive adolescents displayed when they encounter interpersonal problems. Subjects were 7 students from the 7th grade in Taitung city, who were diagnosed as high- risk in depression. The data was obtained by interview, classroom observation, and document analysis. The results are listed as follows: 1. Depressive syndromes could be observed from adolescents’ unstable emotion regulation, distorted cognition, and maladjustive behaviors. 2. The heterosexual relationships had an important effect on their depressive tendency. 3. Depressive adolescent had varying perceptions regarding their peer relationships. Some underesteimated their relationships when comparing with peer’s evaluation, whereas others had accurate perceptions of their general relationships with peers. 4. Depressive adolescents who had negative thinkings and distorted cognition tended to attibute the interpersonal problems as caused by external and uncontrollable factors. 5. Depressive adolescent were most likely to use emotion- focused coping strategies,. They sometimes used cognitive coping, problem-focuced coping, or seeking social support. However, when they attributed the situation as uncontrollable, they would therefore used emotion-focused coping strategies.
